Terms of Use
Effective date: October 18, 2026 · Last updated: October 18, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of healthshieldusa.com (the “Site”), operated by Health Shield Insurance (“Health Shield,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), an independent insurance agency based in Newark, Licking County, Ohio. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About Health Shield
Health Shield is an independent insurance agency owned by licensed agent Dalton Alexander (NPN 20315737). We help individuals and families compare and enroll in health, life, Medicare, and dental and vision insurance products offered by insurance companies we are appointed with. We are not an insurance company and do not issue policies, pay claims, or set rates.
2. Licensed States
Insurance products may be offered only in states where our agent is licensed: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wyoming. Nothing on this Site is an offer to sell insurance in any state where we are not licensed. Products, plans, and availability vary by state and carrier.
3. Informational Purposes Only
Content on this Site is provided for general information only and is not legal, tax, financial, or medical advice. Plan descriptions are summaries; the policy documents issued by the insurance company control the actual terms, benefits, limitations, and exclusions of any coverage.
4. No Guarantee of Coverage, Rates, or Savings
Submitting a form or requesting a quote does not create an insurance policy, guarantee coverage, or bind any insurance company. Quotes are estimates based on the information provided. Final eligibility, underwriting decisions, premiums, and benefits are determined solely by the insurance company. Savings are not guaranteed.
5. Medicare Disclaimer
Health Shield is not connected with or endorsed by the U.S. government or the federal Medicare program. We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to the plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE (TTY users call 1-877-486-2048), or your local State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) to get information on all of your options.
6. Your Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate and complete information, to submit information only about yourself or people you are authorized to act for, and to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You agree not to interfere with the Site’s operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit false or misleading information, or use automated tools to scrape or collect data from the Site.
7. Consent to Calls, Texts, and Emails
By submitting your contact information and checking the consent box on our forms, you agree that Health Shield may contact you at the phone number and email address you provide, including by calls and SMS/text messages that may be sent using automated technology, about your inquiry, insurance options, and policy service. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You may revoke consent at any time.
